Well it's been a while since our last post, but we've had a lot of news to cover!
NEW MEMBERS AND SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT
We had a fantastic experience at Sports Fair and managed to give out loads of flyers which meant that we had some great taster sessions. One of the novice tasters had over 60 people come!
We also attended the Aston Society Fair for the first time which was a fun experience.
We'd like to say welcome to all our new members: we have some amazing talent coming in as freshers and joining our InterAdvanced training sessions and Squad; we've also got some wonderful beginners who are starting off in novice and improving very quickly.
We've now finalised our Performance and Development Squads so congratulations to everyone who has made that.
SPORTS NIGHT AND SOCIALS
It wouldn't be Trampolining without Sports Night, so we teamed up with Gymnastics to bring you our Welcome Sports Night! We had some very creative costumes from our new members (chickens), returners (pigs) and committee (farmers).
There could only be 2 winners for each category though so congratulations to Luke and Will D for their chicken costumes, as well as Emily and Hannah for their pig outfits.
We had over 80 members of each club come so it was a wonderful night, even if it was a bit of a struggle to fit everyone into our Social Sec's house... And of course, we ended up in Gym Tramp corner at the Guild!
We've also had our first non-alcoholic social, a triple club get-together with Gymnastics and BALADs. We were joined by BALADs' acro teacher and everyone got to give moves like the 'Dirty Dancing' lift a go. We saw a lot of talent and we were even joined by Guild President Ellie Keiller!
PUBLICITY
During taster sessions we were visited by a Redbrick reporter who wrote about his experience of training with us! You can read his article here: http://www.redbrick.me/sports/spotlight-on-trampolining/
and you may even spot yourself in the pictures used!
UPCOMING EVENTS
We have a few more socials upcoming, such as the Welcome Meal at Jimmy Spice's and a Hallowe'en Fab.
We're also preparing for our first competition at Bristol at the end of November, so we'll keep you posted on what our results are like.
